Birmingham Central Library – Now on Death Row

It seems that Birmingham council is going to have its way again where architecture is concerned. John Madin’s Central Library seems to of finally been put on death row to be replaced by bland corporate architecture. Progress?

Nomination for the George Jackson Travelling Award 2012

Earlier this month I was nominated for the  the George Jackson Educational Foundation Travel Award. This is an annual award given to students from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design based on their academic achievement and proposal for travel.

I would use this trip to travel to Berlin, Germany to further my research into the identity and culture of people during the 1930′s a time when the far right and the far left had different ideas but left their mark on the city.

Stella McCartney’s Olympic Clothes Withdrawn – Maybe….

I save face it looks like the horrendus 2012 Team GB clothing is about to be dumped into the skip of wence it came. Good.

Adidas have all but removed mentions of it from their site – good…..

Ofcourse this could just be me jumping the gun.
